Matthew 26:17-18 King James Version (KJV)
17 Now the first day of the feast of unleavened bread the disciples came to Jesus, saying unto him, Where wilt thou that we prepare for thee to eat the passover?
18 And he said, Go into the city to such a man, and say unto him, The Master saith, My time is at hand; I will keep the passover at thy house with my disciples.
Matthew 26:17-18 Holman Christian Standard Bible (HCSB)
Betrayal at the Passover
17 On the first day of Unleavened Bread the disciples came to Jesus and asked, “Where do You want us to prepare the Passover so You may eat it?”
18 “Go into the city to a certain man,”He said, “and tell him, ‘The Teacher says: My time is near; I am celebrating the Passover at your place with My disciples.’”

These are my thoughts, please share yours.
17 This is the start of Passover week. They knew that they were going to have a Passover meal and they have asked this question each year but this year was different because this year Jesus would become the lamb. The Passover would now be thru Jesus and not a sheep, the sacrificial system was about to go away.
18 Jesus knew that it was the last meal He would share with them prior to His death, Jesus knew that big things were going to happen that would shake the world. For Jesus to go to this man’s house for His lat Passover would have been such a great honor but this man is not mentioned but he opened up his home to Jesus and all His disciples for him to do so when Jesus was most hated by the religious rules showed he had faith.
