Rebuilding the Walls
3 Eliashib the high priest and his fellow priests began rebuilding the Sheep Gate. They dedicated it and installed its doors. After building the wall to the Tower of the Hundred and the Tower of Hananel, they dedicated it. 2 The men of Jericho built next to Eliashib, and next to them Zaccur son of Imri built.

1 The sheep gate was the gate where animals were to brought into the temple. The priests lived by people coming thru this gate, they did not have animals of their own to get meat all the meat they got came thru this gate. They purified which most likely involving prayer and setting it apart once again for the service of the Lord which is what it was for.
2 The men of Jericho helped build this wall may have helped turn enemies away so that they would not go to attack Jericho but we should be willing to help each other because we may not understand how it helps us.
