Matthew 26:33-35 King James Version (KJV)
33 Peter answered and said unto him, Though all men shall be offended because of thee, yet will I never be offended.
34 Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, That this night, before the cock crow, thou shalt deny me thrice.
35 Peter said unto him, Though I should die with thee, yet will I not deny thee. Likewise also said all the disciples.
Matthew 26:33-35 Holman Christian Standard Bible (HCSB)
33 Peter told Him, “Even if everyone runs away because of You, I will never run away!”
34 “I assure you,”Jesus said to him,“tonight, before the rooster crows, you will deny Me three times!”
35 “Even if I have to die with You,” Peter told Him, “I will never deny You!” And all the disciples said the same thing.

33 People hated Jesus but He had nothing but love for them. We are to live in this same way, we love everyone even if they hate us, and we should expect to be hated by the world if we are serving Him.
34 He was talking to Peter here, Peter said that he would not deny Him but Jesus was telling not only will you deny me but you will three times before they day ends, Peter may have hoped that this was wrong but deep down may have known that his Lord could not be wrong. We deny Christ until we choose to live a life for Him.
35 The disciples thought they could not reject Him but they were going to. Today we have the power of the Holy Spirit to keep us from running from the Lord but any time we choose sin we deny Christ, we just should not make it a lifestyle.
