1 Chronicles 23:28-30 King James Version (KJV)
28 Because their office was to wait on the sons of Aaron for the service of the house of the LORD, in the courts, and in the chambers, and in the purifying of all holy things, and the work of the service of the house of God;
29 Both for the showbread, and for the fine flour for meat offering, and for the unleavened cakes, and for that which is baked in the pan, and for that which is fried, and for all manner of measure and size;
30 And to stand every morning to thank and praise the LORD, and likewise at even:

28 This was how they were to provide their living, because they weren’t to have land but eat from the priests table because of their service. Today while we have pastors who are dependent on offerings because that is their living we all are called to serve the Lord which means we all share from God’s table and blessing.
29 They had many duties; they took care of everything that the priests weren’t to do. How much do we take care of or do we have the wrong attitude by thinking the pastor should do it all because he is paid to.
30 We need to take time to give God thanks and praise and time for prayer even through our serving Him. We are never to be so busy serving that we stop praising and praying.
