Mark 1:29-31 King James Version (KJV)
29 And forthwith, when they were come out of the synagogue, they entered into the house of Simon and Andrew, with James and John.
30 But Simon's wife's mother lay sick of a fever, and anon they tell him of her.
31 And he came and took her by the hand, and lifted her up; and immediately the fever left her, and she ministered unto them.

Jesus Heals Many People
29 As soon as Jesus and his •followers [disciples] left the synagogue, they went to the home of Simon [C Peter; 3:16] and Andrew, together with James and John. 30 Simon’s mother-in-law was sick in bed with a fever, and •the people [L they; C either the people or the disciples] told Jesus about her. 31 So Jesus went to her bed, took her hand, and •helped [raised] her up. The fever left her, and she began •serving them [waiting on them; C presumably meal preparation].

29 So we see how they met in Peter’s house a few times, this may have been a common place for them to meet.
30 Peter’s mother in law was sick and this fever was bad, it may have been leading to her death, may have been high to where brain damage may soon start happening.
31 Jesus healed her and she did what she did after and that was serve them, this is what she normally would have did but she now did this knowing the power of Jesus, sometimes the things we do after we find Jesus don’t change but the spirit we have now is His in us.
