Matthew 25:1-4 King James Version (KJV)
25 Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom.
2 And five of them were wise, and five were foolish.
3 They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them:
4 But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.
Matthew 25:1-4 Common English Bible (CEB)
Parable of the ten young bridesmaids
25 “At that time the kingdom of heaven will be like ten young bridesmaids who took their lamps and went out to meet the groom. 2 Now five of them were wise, and the other five were foolish. 3 The foolish ones took their lamps but didn’t bring oil for them. 4 But the wise ones took their lamps and also brought containers of oil.

These are my thoughts, please share yours.
1 Virgins were often those that would marry in those days, the time have changed for the worse, women who were not virgins often were either widows or would not be getting married. Lamps are symbolizing their light, the bridegroom represents Jesus, and the brides represent Christians.
2 This is common half of people or more do not have Godly wisdom because they do not follow His truth.
3-4 Oil often times symbolizes the Spirit, which means half of them did not allow the Spirit to guide them but did their own thing, the other five allow the oil or Spirit to light their way.
